For a third year in a row, paramedics from Austin, TX will be participating in the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride. In '07 and '08, we rode in honor of Eric C. Hanson, a paramedic for Marble Falls EMS, who died in the line of duty in 2006 and his partner, Kyla Wilson, that was seriously injured in that same accident. This year, we also carry with us the memory of Stephanie Waters, a paramedic for PHI aeromedical service, that died in the line of duty in 2008.
New York City to Roanoke, VA May 16 - May 22, 2009
The National EMS Memorial Bike Ride is a seven day bicycle ride that memorialize and celebrate the lives of those who serve everyday, those who have become sick or injured while performing their duties, and those who have died in the line of duty.
